We all aspire to get the best possible burn from our candles, there are so many myths surrounding the burning of candles and in this blog we are going to share our best practices to help you achieve the illusive perfect burn!
The key to the perfect burn first of all lies in the product you purchase. A good quality candle will contain a wick that is the perfect size for the vessel, firstly we would suggest you open your window thirty minuets prior to burning your candle. Your candle wick will be cut to the appropriate length for its first burn, we would recommend a minimum of three to four hours for the first burn, during which your candle will create a melt pool - don't panic this is how its meant to be! We would the suggest that you continue to burn your candle in three to four hour intervals.
To extinguish your candle we would recommend snuffing it out with either a candle snuffer or using a lid, not only does this not taint the scent in the room it will also eliminate the chance of any soot forming around the rim of the your candle vessel.
Its a short but simple blog post from us on this subject! If you have any questions or need help get in touch with us on social media!
